Can we restrict a vote to certain members?
Yes. You can restrict any vote to a region, branch, chapter, grade or class of member, and a single event can send different votes to different groups. Each level shows a running count of the members it covers, so you can see exactly who will be asked.
Which voting method should we use for a council election?
For a multi seat council or board election, single transferable vote is the UK standard and is built in. Approval voting suits simpler multi seat votes, and instant runoff suits a single winner. The platform guides you to a suitable method and counts it correctly.
Can we import our members, or connect our membership system?
Both. You can import your membership from a spreadsheet, or connect it through NationBuilder so your ballot uses your live membership data. A standing members register keeps track of who takes part over time.
What about members who cannot vote online?
Postal and hybrid voting can be enabled on request, so members who vote on paper are counted in the same vote as everyone else. It is disabled by default and set up with our team.
Can members trust that the ballot is fair?
Yes. Every vote is a true secret ballot, encrypted and delivered through a personal secure link, and every result carries a full audit trail. A separate scrutineer role lets an independent person oversee the count without being able to change it.
