Run your annual general meeting online. Elect your committee, put ordinary and special resolutions to a vote, and collect attendance, all in one event with a full audit trail behind every result.
Yes. Unless your constitution requires a particular method, you can put resolutions and elections to your members online, before or during the meeting. Choice Voting runs ordinary resolutions on a simple majority, special resolutions on a higher threshold such as 75 per cent, and committee elections by secret ballot, all in one event. Your rules decide the threshold, the platform applies it and records the result.
One event for every decision your members make at the AGM.
An AGM is often the one moment in the year when the whole membership is asked to decide something, so the voting behind it needs to be clear and defensible. Counting a show of hands, chasing proxy forms and reading estimates into the minutes leaves you with nothing to show if a member questions the outcome. Choice Voting brings the whole AGM into one place. Put your resolutions and your committee election in a single event, set who can vote on each item, and open it so members take part from any device before or during the meeting. Every resolution carries the pass threshold your rules require, every election runs by secret ballot, and you can add an attendance RSVP and a member survey to the same event. When voting closes you have the result straight away, with turnout confirmed and a full audit trail you can attach to the minutes.
The two things an AGM exists to do, handled together.
Resolutions
For secretaries and chairs who need a recorded outcome on every motion, with the right majority applied automatically.
Elections
For membership bodies electing a board, committee or officers at the AGM by a secret ballot that stands up.
Combine votes, elections, attendance and feedback in a single invitation.
Approve accounts, appoint auditors and pass routine business on a simple majority, with a clear recorded result.
Pass rule changes and constitutional amendments on the higher threshold your rules set, applied automatically.

A single event can hold several resolutions, an election, an RSVP and a survey, each with its own eligibility, sent as one invitation.
Members who cannot or will not vote online are brought into the same vote and the same count. Enabled on request and set up with our team.
Restrict a vote to the members entitled to take part, so different classes of member can vote on different items.
Watch participation while voting is open and know whether a reminder is worth sending before the meeting.

This page is general information, not legal advice. Your constitution or articles decide how your resolutions and elections must be conducted and what majority each requires. Confirm the requirements that apply to your organisation before relying on them.
That depends on your constitution. An ordinary resolution usually passes on a simple majority above 50 per cent, and a special resolution usually needs a higher threshold such as 75 per cent. When you build a resolution you set the threshold, choosing a preset or a custom percentage. The presets match common requirements but are not legal defaults, so use the figure your own rules require.
Both. You set the opening and closing times for the event, so members can vote in advance, during the meeting, or across a window that covers both. Everyone votes through the same secure link on any device.
Yes. A single event can hold several resolutions and an election, each with its own eligibility and counting method. Members receive one invitation and move through everything in one sitting.
Postal and hybrid voting can be enabled on request, so members who vote on paper are brought into the same vote and counted alongside the online votes. It is disabled by default and set up with our team.
Elections run by true secret ballot, so no one can see how an individual voted. Every vote is encrypted, every result is timestamped, and you get a downloadable audit trail showing who could vote, where the list came from and how the result was reached.
Resolutions, elections, attendance and member feedback in one event, with a result you can put straight into the minutes.
